  1. Hiawatha Gardens Beautification Day

    October 12, 2019, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Meet at City Hall, 606 Manitou Ave, at 10:00 am and we will walk to Hiawatha Gardens, 10 Old Mans Trail

    The City is looking for volunteers to join in a Climate Action day on October 12 from 10 am to 2 pm, which includes a clean-up and beautification at Hiawatha Gardens. Volunteers will focus on cleaning up the area around Hiawatha Gardens, including landscaping and planting trees. The group will meet in front City Hall, 606 Manitou Ave, at 10 am for information and should bring any small garden tools they would like, plenty of water, and a sack lunch. After the tree planting from 5 pm to 7 pm, the City will host a potluck in Memorial Hall celebrating climate action and thanking volunteers for their efforts. It is also an opportunity for local partners and organizations to opportunity reach out to the community.   2. Manitou Springs Tree Planting

Volunteers will help plant 147 new trees in honor of Manitou’s 147th birthday and to demonstrate community’s commitment to the environment. The group will meet in front City Hall at 10 am for information about tree planting locations and should bring any small garden tools they would like, plenty of water, and a sack lunch. After the tree planting from 5 pm to 7 pm, the City will host a potluck in Memorial Hall celebrating climate action and giving local partners and organizations the opportunity reach out to the community and share how they plan to combat climate change.   3. Climate Action Celebration and Potluck

    October 12, 2019, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ Memorial Hall

    Join us at 5 pm for a Community Potluck celebrating Climate Action! Enjoy delicious food and good company while we celebrate a day of hard work in the community. In addition to food, learn more from local partners and organizations about what they are doing to combat climate change and make Manitou Springs a better place to live. Please bring a dish to share and your own place setting to help keep this a low-waste event. We look forward to seeing you there!
