Through a collaborative effort, the City of Manitou Springs, City of Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak Cog Railway have undertaken a study to identify opportunities and address improvements that will enhance mobility within the City and connections to adjoining regional areas and transportation systems. The Transportation & Mobility Master Plan Study is expected to advance and evolve community goals identified in Plan Manitou and align with planning/design efforts of other mobility projects.
Manitou Springs residents, business owners, and other stakeholders are encouraged to attend the last community conversation for the Transportation & Mobility Master Plan before final recommendations are made to City Council in January 2020. The final plan will encompass all mobility throughout the city. This is the third community workshop for the plan and will focus on sharing recommendations ranging from expanded transit service; to improving streets; enhanced parking; and pedestrian/bicycle/multi-modal improvements. The project team will be on hand to gather answer questions.
