We will follow and enhance the National Recreation and Parks Association's (NRPA) three pillars: conservation, health & wellness, and social equity. We will make significant contributions to decreasing common problems such as obesity, healthcare costs, and environmental deterioration. The Parks and Recreation department will add to the NRPA's pillars by including economic prosperity, as our department will strive to increase property values, provide jobs, promotes tourism, and draw business to the community.

All of the parks have different watering schedules and needs. Watering season is primarily from May - October. Additionally, all parks are watered during the evening, to allow for our residents and visitors to be able to enjoy them during all daylight hours.
