Canon Avenue Sidewalk Demolition

The City of Manitou Springs will be conducting demolition of the sidewalk on Canon Avenue in preparation for the CDGB funded ADA sidewalk improvement project in this area. Parking and lane restrictions should be anticipated.

Canon Ave Parking

Due to the ADA sidewalk project, there will be no parking on Canon Avenue beginning 06/05/2017. The Canon Parking Lot will remain open. To maintain the traffic flow, construction will first be performed on the South side of the 100 block, followed by the work moving to the South side of the 200 block.

Traffic Advisory

Between Ridge Road and the US 24 overpass, the inner left lanes in both directions along West Colorado/Manitou Avenue will be temporarily closed the next three months while construction crews install new storm and water mains. For more information on the traffic advisory, click here.


Westside Avenue Action Plan Project

The Westside Avenue Action Plan project is underway. This project addresses road improvements to Manitou Avenue and Colorado Avenue between the US 24 interchange and 31st Street. For more information and updates on the Westside Avenue Action Plan project, click here.
